Vestige

2023

Vestige explores time, memory, and the traces left through making and erasure. Built through cycles of painting, scraping, and repainting, the works hold presence and absence in quiet tension.

The subjects—vessels, eggs, animals, lemons—emerge through this process with a kind of fragile persistence. What interests me is the dialogue between presence and absence, what’s revealed and what’s lost. These works are meditations on transformation, where every surface carries the memory of its own making.

Many of these exhibitions grow out of ongoing themes and studio projects explored elsewhere on the site.

Works shown in past exhibitions may be in private collections; current works are noted as available and may be viewed on the Paintings pages or by inquiry.
