Of Land and Sky, 2025

In these paintings, I explore landscape not as a literal place but as a structure of relationships—between land, light, and sky. Though rooted in familiar terrain, the images are reduced and abstracted, allowing them to evoke rather than describe. I’m drawn to the horizon, that shifting edge where earth meets air—a threshold that feels charged with energy and suggestion.

Light is central to these works, particularly where it gathers or fades along that meeting line. I’m interested in how painting can capture the tension between observation and memory, between what is seen and what is felt. These pieces are meditations on that space—both within and beyond sight.
