Books and Publications: An Overview

Books have long been central to my work—as a reader, designer, and author. Over time, this engagement has taken many forms, from large-scale publications developed in collaboration with museums, foundations, and publishers, to long-term scholarly projects, and small books shaped quietly in the studio.

The pages that follow reflect these distinct paths.

Authored & Initiated Publications presents books I have conceived and developed as an author—projects shaped by sustained research, writing, and design, often produced in collaboration with publishers.

Design for Art Museums & Galleries documents my work as a book designer for institutions, including exhibition catalogues and collection-based publications developed in close partnership with curators, artists, and organizations.

Catalogue Raisonné brings together ongoing scholarly publishing projects developed with the Li Ching Foundation in Taipei through the Archives of Modern Chinese Art, documenting the complete works of selected artists with long-term rigor and care.

Studio Books gathers small-format books developed independently in the studio—works that allow for personal exploration through writing, images, and observation, and that sit alongside the painting practice as a quiet, ongoing inquiry.

Together, these publications reflect an enduring commitment to books as objects of thought—made to be read slowly, returned to, and lived with over time.
