In this exhibition, I revisited the still life as a field for invention. Everyday objects—bowls, vessels, glasses, and bottles—become simplified shapes arranged on a flattened picture plane. I treat these forms as symbols rather than depictions, exploring the balance of positive and negative space.

Working with both brush and oil stick, I draw into and across the paint, scratching or redefining lines as new relationships emerge. This process allows chance and revision to play a role, merging my background in design with the expressive possibilities of painting. Through this approach, I aim to challenge the boundaries between representation and abstraction, renewing the still life with quiet clarity and modern sensibility.
