Horizons are paintings of distance and light. In the landscapes, the horizon is a quiet but powerful structure: a single line that holds the land below and the light above. In the skies, the weather itself becomes the subject, with cloud, haze, and changing light given nearly the whole of the canvas. Painted on linen, canvas, or wood, some Horizons are realistic and some abstract; some are carefully controlled and some left partly to chance.
