Design Office
I design books and printed works from a studio in Woodstock, Vermont. Most are art books and exhibition catalogues—from limited editions to large museum volumes—made in close collaboration with artists, curators, editors, and publishers. Design, writing, and photography are all part of the practice, often in the same project.
Clients
Since 1991, I’ve designed more than two hundred art books and exhibition catalogues for publishers and institutions: Hatje Cantz, Rizzoli International, the Barnes Foundation, Harvard Art Museums, the MIT List Visual Arts Center, the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth, and the Detroit Institute of Arts, among others. The list includes over forty catalogues for Dartmouth’s Studio Art Exhibition Program and eight multilingual catalogues raisonnés for the Li Ching Foundation in Taipei.
