I am drawn to the subtle gestures and fleeting relationships that echo the balance of the natural world, where rhythm, texture, and light coexist in quiet accord.

In this composition, a pair of blue-gray birds, close and intertwined, are rendered through extended, gestural marks of oil pastel and paint. Their forms shimmer within a softly modulated field of gray and blue tones.
