Books and Publications
For more than three decades, the book has been at the center of my practice—as author, designer, and maker. The work falls into four areas, each defined by a different relationship to the subject and to the people I make books with: volumes I have written and developed myself; books designed in collaboration with art museums and galleries; a long-term series of catalogues raisonnés devoted to modern Chinese artists; and small, limited-edition books produced independently in the studio. Running through all four is the same conviction: that the physical form of a book is part of its meaning.

Exhibition catalogues and collection publications for art museums, galleries, and cultural institutions, developed in close collaboration with curators, artists, and editors.
Catalogue Raisonné
Eight multi-volume catalogues raisonnés of early twentieth-century Chinese modernists, produced over two decades with the Li Ching Foundation in Taipei.
Studio Books
Intimate, small-format publications made independently alongside my painting and design practice, produced in limited editions for slow reading.
