The Forest Variations reference the details in nature that I observe on woodland walks where in live and work in Vermont. The painted patterns, textures, colors, and gestures express reductions of tree forms, tree bark, and irregular patterns in the forest, while at the same time offer a visually abstracted expression of a scenic experience.
